The Wavys are a 501(c)(3) music nonprofit dedicated to highlighting emerging artists who embody creativity, purpose, and community. Through our Ambassador Program, we provide individual artists and innovators with resources, mentorship, and mission-aligned artistic support.
We’re fundraising to replace $1,623.35 in charitable donations that were frozen when our previous donation platform, Flipcause, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
We’ve launched OPERATION SAVE THE WAVE to replace the funds our Ambassadors raised for their projects.
To ensure security, we have moved all donation processing directly to our PayPal Charity account—no more middlemen.

What Happened?
In late 2025, The Wavys learned our fundraising platform, Flipcause, had ceased operations. On December 19, 2025, Flipcause filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. The California Attorney General issued a Cease and Desist order against the platform for operating without proper registration.
Court filings reveal the company owes approximately $29 million to charitable organizations, including The Wavys, Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, The Loveland Foundation, and over 3200 others.
While we continue to advocate for our Ambassadors and fight to recover these funds, the timeline for bankruptcy court is long and uncertain.
But our artists shouldn’t have to wait.
The Impact
At the time of the filing, Flipcause was holding $1,623.35 in donations raised specifically for our 2026 Ambassador Program. Efforts to withdraw the funds were and continue to be unsuccessful.
This money was not for admin or overhead. It was designated for:
Scholarship Creation
Artistic Programming
Mental Health Support
Recording Studio Fees
and other mission-aligned support for our Ambassadors’ projects and causes.
The Solution
We’re taking immediate action to make our artists whole. We are asking our community to help us refill the bucket, dollar by dollar.
Our Commitment to Security: To eliminate third-party risk, we have moved all fundraising operations in-house.
Direct Contributions: All charitable donations will be processed directly via PayPal.
No Middlemen: Funds go immediately to The Wavys’ with no holding period.
Concrete Goal: We are fundraising strictly to hit the $1,623.35 mark. Once we restore what was lost, we will return to our standard programming.

This campaign is specifically designed to replace funds currently frozen in the Flipcause bankruptcy proceedings. The Wavys cannot guarantee if or when the original funds will be recovered. Therefore, we are fundraising to ensure our 2026 Ambassadors are not negatively impacted by these external legal proceedings.
