It is truly a joy to get a new Outer Shapes Music Alert, because we have yet to meet an OS song that didn’t deliver. Freeway is no exeption. It’s very wavy.
Outer Shapes—2024 Wavy Awards Album of the Year winners (and up for the same award again this year for Toothache) —are continuing to drop gems with this striking new single, “FREEWAY,” out this Friday, September 12, 2025, on all major streaming platforms. About Outer Shapes
Outer Shapes are Laura Shkouratoff (lead vocals/bass) and C Santos (guitar/drums): a high-energy, independent alt queer duo electrifying NYC’s music scene. Known for their genre-bending sound, dazzling live shows (with costumes, projections, and more than five instruments including tuba!), and motto “FEEL ALL YOUR FEELINGS,” the duo pushes the boundaries of pop, rock, and alternative music. All music is written, recorded, and produced in their home studio, giving every track extraordinary intimacy and depth.
