Ryan Cassata and Jesediah Take Home Song of the Year Wavy

Written By Rebecca Sansom

Blood is On Your Hands

We just came here to dance, blood is on your hands, you won’t give peace a chance!

What an appropriate song to win this year’s’ Wavy for Song of the Year! Blood is On Your Hands by Ryan Cassata and Jesediah is a dance hit, that also brings awareness and remembrance to the mass shooting at Q-Bar in Colorado. If you didn’t know this horrendous shooting occurred late on November 19, 2022, during a birthday event at Club Q, resulting in 5 deaths and 26 injuries. The 4th anniversary of this event is next month so we wanted to highlight the song now for the victims.

Please take a moment to remember: Daniel Davis Aston, Kelly Loving, Ashley Paugh, Derrick Rump, and Raymond Green Vance who all lost their lives.

Miraculously, patrons including Richard M. Fierro, Thomas James, and Drea Norman stopped the attacker.

Anderson Lee Aldrich received consecutive life sentences plus 2,211 years following a state guilty plea, alongside federal sentences of 55 concurrent life terms plus 190 years for hate crimes and firearms violations.
