wavy winners stress dolls close out 2026 in buffalo — then head north to toronto

Wavy Music News · Oct 21, 2026

if you've been meaning to catch Stress Dolls live, this is your sign. these Wavy winners are playing their last Buffalo show of 2026 this Sunday, October 25, at the Bye Week Ball at Town Ballroom and then they're crossing the border for Loud Women Fest in Toronto on Friday, November 6.

sunday in buffalo: the bye week ball

Stress Dolls is the project of Buffalo songwriter Chelsea O'Donnell, who has spent more than a decade building a sound that's been described as "Joni Mitchell meets Nirvana" tender and loud in the same breath. live, the project shifts shape: sometimes just Chelsea and her acoustic guitar, sometimes a duo with longtime collaborator Sally Schaefer on violin, and sometimes the full band with TJ Luckman on bass, Jordan Smith on lead guitar and Josh English on drums.

sunday's hometown send-off is an early one, so plan your afternoon around it:

  • doors: 3 pm

  • show: 4 pm

  • Stress Dolls on stage: 4:30 pm

  • where: Town Ballroom, Buffalo, NY

tickets are on sale now through Etix. want to skip the fees and support the band directly? email stressdollsmusic@gmail.com to set up payment, and your ticket(s) will be waiting for you at will call.

friday, november 6: loud women fest in toronto

toronto friends, they're coming to you. Stress Dolls will be part of Loud Women Fest at The Baby G on Friday, November 6 — a lineup built around exactly the kind of voices The Wavys exists to celebrate. tickets and full event info are on DICE.

why we're stoked?

Stress Dolls took home Song of the Year at the 2024 Wavy Awards, and watching Wavy artists keep showing up for their local scenes — and carry that energy across city lines and borders — is the whole point. go see them, bring a friend, buy the merch, and tell Chelsea The Wavys sent you.
